About the Role
Command Security Services (CSS) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Training & Development Coordinator to support and enhance our company-wide training, safety, and compliance programs.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about training, learning & development, and professional growth. If you are highly organized, naturally curious, metrics-driven, and eager to build something meaningful while learning along the way, this role is for you.

You will play a critical role in ensuring our employees meet all California BSIS and Private Patrol Operator (PPO) compliance standards, client-specific requirements, and industry best practices. You will help design, deliver, track, and continuously improve training and safety programs across the organization.

This position offers room to grow, experiment, and develop your skills in instructional design, project management, compliance, reporting, and operational strategy.

What You’ll Do
Training & Compliance (Primary Focus – ~60%)

  • Coordinate and deliver initial and in-service training programs to ensure compliance with BSIS, PPO, and client requirements
  • Facilitate engaging in-person and virtual training sessions on topics such as security procedures, compliance, safety, and customer service
  • Support development of interactive training formats including drills, tabletop exercises, and blended learning
  • Track training completion, certifications, renewals, and onboarding progress
  • Partner with the Qualified Manager (QM) and HR to ensure 100% compliance with regulatory requirements

Safety & Workplace Compliance (~15%)
  • Support company-wide safety training initiatives
  • Track safety compliance metrics and incident trends

Special Projects & Operational Support (~15%)
  • Assist with new initiatives, training rollouts, and client-driven projects
  • Coordinate logistics, schedules, and communications

Technology & Reporting (~10%)
  • Maintain weekly and monthly training dashboards (Excel / Google Sheets)
  • Provide weekly training compliance updates (due Tuesdays)
  • Submit detailed monthly Training & Safety Metrics Reports (due by the 3rd of each month)

  • Communicates clearly and confidently
  • Is comfortable speaking in front of groups (or ready to develop this skill)

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in training, project support, or related field
  • Eligible to obtain California BSIS certification and comply with PPO requirements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • On a rare occasion, the ability to work flexible hours when needed

Preferred Skills
  • Experience facilitating in-person or virtual trainings
  • Familiarity with instructional design principles
  • Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts and data analysis
  • Experience tracking compliance or performance metrics
  • CPR/AED Trainer certification (or willingness to obtain)
