With a track record of excellence and a growing client base, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Sales and Business Development to drive our growth strategy and expand our business.

 

About the Position

The VP of Sales and Business Development is a new position for CSS and a great opportunity for a candidate to shape the role and have a significant impact on the company’s future growth. We are seeking an individual willing to bet on their own ability to successfully generate new business opportunities for the company with total compensation through commissions on leads developed and won. The VP of Sales and Business Development is a full-time position focused on increasing and managing new opportunities and capturing new accounts to drive company growth. This role is responsible for developing and executing strategic business development and sales plans, expanding Command Security Services’ market presence, cultivating strong relationships with key prospective clients and stakeholders and managing all aspects of new opportunities from target to capture.

 

Location

CSS’ California office is located in Mountain View, CA.  The candidate selected for this position must maintain a valid Driver’s License to access our HQ facility and perform the duties of the position including potential use of company vehicles. CSS is willing to consider candidates who do not reside in the Bay Area but only if they are willing to travel there at least two weeks of the month at their own expense and work remotely when not on site and if they have demonstrated success performing similar work under a similar hybrid location model.

 

Compensation and Benefits
The salaried compensation for this position is $125K to $175K depending on candidate experience and full vs. part time on location. This salary is in addition to generous success based commissions which should total significantly more than salary for an effective sales lead. This position is also eligible for the following benefits:

Essential Position Responsibilities

  • Interacts effectively and cordially with customers, potential clients and vendors by phone, email and in-person.
  • Builds a network of relationships with potential clients and information sources aware of upcoming opportunities in the Bay Area and throughout California.
  • Creates a system to identify, prioritize and effectively track potential business opportunities and regularly reports on same to company leadership in order to support and manage the company’s growth objectives.
  • Conducts thorough market research and analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities within the security industry.
  • Leverages market insights and industry trends to ensure effectiveness.
  • Uses social media outreach and other marketing strategies to develop a strong network of professional contacts.
  • Manages not only the new business pipeline but leads the writing of any RFP responses, proposals, quotes and all required follow up with prospective customers and documents the outcome.
  • Seeks out prospective customers/business opportunities with new and helps ensure the customer satisfaction for existing accounts to ensure delivery commitments are met.
  • Presents proposals to customers in a convincing manner and responds to customer questions and/or objections to secure the sale.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
  • Must adhere to any/all customer or client requirements, supplier code of conduct, or equivalent requirements and maintain compliance with relevant legal, environmental, health and safety, human rights and labor, and ethics requirements.

 

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience in a senior sales leadership role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field and/or equivalent experience is required. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Sales and business development experience in the security guard services industry is preferred.
  • Deep understanding of sales strategies, pipeline management, revenue generation and pricing.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication.
  • Strong ability to negotiate.
  • High level of integrity and the ability to keep information confidential.
  • High level of attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities with competing deadlines.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends and make informed decisions.
  • Must pass an enhanced background investigation.
